With an aim to continuously provide value and informative resources, the organization accomplishes this in many different ways including the provision of accurate, timely, and relevant labour market information (LMI) that puts raw data into context and facilitates better decisions by employers, workers, job seekers, policymakers, educators, career practitioners, academics, students, parents, and more. In addition to this, they also explore and share industry specific best practices on HR and training, and provide forums for networking and exchanging knowledge on emerging HR issues. They also provide information on practical and innovative HR tools and promote the trucking and logistics industry as a great place to work.

Skills & Experience

Critical thinker

You are very hands on with all things marketing and you deliver with a strong attention to detail and passion

Experience

With writing of press releases, curation of informational media pieces like newsletters, and creating/hosting of webinars

Strategic

Very strong marketing drive and instinct, able to gather critical insights from events and feedback and pivot as needed

Digital Marketing

Experience at looking at marketing analytics and data, are familiar with google reporting and understand what factors can drive SEO

Confident in Your Capabilities

Your confidence allows you to present new ideas to senior leadership as needed and your outgoing personality also enable you to speak at events and conferences

Summary of the Role

The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for creating the strategy behind all marketing and communications related content and also executing on key programs and initiatives that are critical to the success of THRC.

The new manager will have oversight on the content and input of the company newsletter, ensuring that the information put forward is timely and valuable to its target audience and that it also connects with the marketing strategy for the firm. Working closely with the Marketing Coordinator, the new manager will ensure timely execution of the newsletter as well as other marketing related communication pieces including press releases and a content calendar.

Being able to craft messages and communicate with stakeholders is key to maintaining positive company relationships. This role will collaborate with internal staff at all levels, as well as all employers in the THRC network and government funders. Additionally, the Marketing & Communications Manager will liaise with marketing and communication contacts from other partners and remain vigilant and active in building trade media-build relationships. Lastly, in keeping pace with technology, this role is integral in ensuring strong digital marketing content and ensuring that SEO related metrics, analytics and reporting are taken care of.
